A useful Amazon question often crosses reports: did sales change with visibility, is advertising adding context, and can the product stay in stock? Bringing the records together helps you investigate. It does not remove the need to check dates, coverage and assumptions.

What MCP connects

Model Context Protocol (MCP) gives an AI application a structured connection to a server that provides context and supported functions. The protocol does not decide how your AI application uses that information.

For a Rivet Rocket build, start with the question and confirm the supported connection, data access and functions on your demo. This guide is not a compatibility list or an endpoint reference.

Three kinds of records

  • Seller Central: account-authorized sales, inventory and business records.
  • Advertising: connected campaign performance and spend for analysis.
  • Public marketplace observations: collected listing and search information, with a defined scope and collection context.

Not every feature uses all three. SQPR’s completed weekly Amazon search reports are separate from public search observations. Confirm what your account and chosen workflow can access.

Compare covered dates, not arrival times

A record can arrive today while covering an earlier period. Connected brand data refreshes daily, but Amazon reports usually run 2–4 days behind. SQPR uses completed weeks. Public observations have their own collection times; a daily schedule does not make the other reports real-time.

Available history, collection frequency and scheduled reporting depend on the agreed setup. Ask which dates and products each result covers before combining it with another source.

A small example: ranking versus sales

For an illustrative US product, one keyword observation shows positions 9, 7 and 5 on October 5, 6 and 7. Sample sales for those covered dates are 8, 10 and 12 units. The two moved together in this sample, but three observations cannot establish that ranking caused the sales change.

Check advertising, pricing, promotions and coverage. Search position varies with collection context. Decide what further evidence to collect before turning the pattern into a recurring report.

Keep the decision with your team

Use the records to review a finding, ask a follow-up with saved brand context and agree the next check. The AI brand manager reads account data; your team changes prices, places orders and edits campaigns. An illustrative builder workflow is not a promise of write access or automatic app creation.

FBA Builders is $97/month plus usage. AI and scraping are metered separately. External AI providers may also charge for your own tools. Confirm rates and supported access on your demo.

Sources and review scope

The MCP explanation follows the official architecture documentation. Rivet Rocket workflow descriptions use the supplied client guides and the October 13 meeting notes, with unconfirmed access and billing details qualified. The figures are illustrative; supported connections and data scope are confirmed on the demo.
